There is no contest- Cold Spring Cheese definitely has the best cheese, chip, and hot sauce selection in the area. They work hard to find artisanal local producers of all things snackish and delicious. Like an old fashioned bodega, they carry artisanal baked baguettes, local farm-fresh eggs, handmade pasta, homemade jams, pickles and sauces, chocolates, cookies, popsicles, chips & salsa, etc. The selection is always changing, along with their menu of breakfast and lunch sandwiches and bites- soups, mac & cheese, empanadas, etc. Their holiday gift baskets and party cheese and charcuterie boards with make your holiday festivities a delicious, bright and easy.
Timothy Haskell and Rebeca Ramirez (below) opened the shop in 2018 after hearing the town was in dire need of cheese. “How can they live without cheese?!?” they thought. Thankfully, these are people committed to solving the major foodie problems in Cold Spring.
