Cold Spring Aglow

Join us and the Permaculture Arts Collective for a reimagined Cold Spring Aglow on

Friday, Dec. 12, starting at 4:30 pm

We invite the community to a family-friendly illuminated evening in the village of Cold Spring. Support our Main Street as it comes alive with lanterns, giant puppets, and music for a magical night celebrating the winter solstice and the warmth of our community.

Lanterns will start glowing at 4:30 pm. Check back here and on Instagram as we share more details leading up to Aglow.

Support our local businesses and enjoy special performances by:

Hudson Highlands Pipe Band

Starting at 4:45 pm along Main Street

Founded in Cold Spring in 2005, the Hudson Highlands Pipe Band has become a Cold Spring Aglow tradition spreading cheer up and down Main Street.

The Foundry Montessori

5 pm at Depot Square

Back by popular demand, the students at Foundry Montessori bring the Aglow magic.

The Mountainhomes

a.k.a Cold Spring’s favorite East Mountain Studios duo

6 pm at Depot Square

The Mountainhomes (debut!) bring cozy winter ambience through dreamy soundscapes and melodies. Through the darkest nights, they invite you to embrace the warmth and the light.

Interested in participating?

Wish to be a puppeteer? We’re looking for volunteer hands (30 sets, to be exact!) to operate puppets along Main Street the night of Aglow. Let us know you’re interested and we’ll be in touch.

Join us for a community puppet-building workshop where we’ll gather to create large, glowing lantern creatures and other magical works of art. No experience necessary, just a willingness to get a little messy with paper, glue, and imagination. Come for one session or all—it’s a wonderful way to meet neighbors, make something beautiful together, and be part of a shared village celebration. Sign up for a workshop here. Adults only please.
